This is the second lesson in the series: How to Deal with Uncertainty
By Poornima Vijayashanker
Last week we kicked off this mini-course with my good friend Maria Molfino, who is a Stanford trained behavior designer and life coach. We started by talking about how we all face uncertainty when we move from a period of having everything mapped out for us to a period of the unknown. It could be a transition such as going from college to work or from working for a big company to striking out on your own!
As innovators, we want to stay creative and focused, but uncertainty brings up a lot of negative feelings and discomfort. In the previous lesson, Maria shared with us 4 simple words to remember and practice when the uncertainty causes you discomfort. If you missed the previous lesson you can find it here.
In this second lesson, we’re going to tackle another feeling that comes up during a period of uncertainty: the feeling that we are the only one who doesn’t have our sh*t together!
Maria is going to share the one thing you can do to feel less alone, and like you aren’t the only one going through this period of uncertainty.
Maria is also offering an exclusive invitation to the Femgineer community! If you would like to connect with Maria and get some help then sign up here to participate in an upcoming Google Hangout. Be sure to mention that you saw her on Femgineer!

In the next and final lesson, Maria will share with us how even in uncertain times you can move closer to clarity!
