Are you tired of giving a one-dimensional technical presentation?

It’s easy to give up or come up with excuses to avoid them. My co-instructor Karen Catlin used to by saying: “I’m too busy!” Even before someone told her when she’d have to give a presentation 😉

Eventually, Karen ran out of excuses and needed to give a presentation, and you will too, especially if you’re vying for a leadership role, even a technical one.

Deepika Goel, a technical lead learned this lesson a little over a year ago. She often presented to her team and executives within her company, and as a leader would need to pitch ideas in her presentations.

After each pitch, she felt dejected. Audience disengaged during the presentations—it was clear the pitches were one dimensional and lackluster. Deepika wasn’t sure what to do. She didn’t know how to structure content.

Why Deepika Needed One-On-One Instruction To Improve Her Technical Presentation

She kept receiving advice to read books and watch video tutorials, but those didn’t help.

She knew she needed some one-on-one guidance, but wasn’t sure where to get it and whom to trust to give her honest feedback.

One day, she attended a remote colleague’s technical presentation. The presentation was amazing. Deepika asked her colleague how she learned to be such an engaging presenter. Her colleague told her about an online course she had taken a year ago, called the Confident Communicator Course, and how it had helped her improve her technical presentation skills.

Deepika wanted to be as polished and persuasive as her colleague. She decided to check out the course.

How Femgineer’s Confident Communicator Course Helped Deepika Improve Her Technical Presentation

“I had gotten a lot of feedback from my managers to look into books and watch videos. But I felt like if I did a live course, you would be able to give me live feedback that I could actually implement. You could focus on me as an individual rather than me just reading a bunch of blogs and not really have any direction.

I highly recommend everyone to take this course. Most importantly, it creates a very safe environment for you to actually focus on your flaws. You can speak out what you’re thinking, you’re questions, demo, and get feedback, where you would hesitate in front of your teammates because you think someone is going to laugh at you or mock you. But here it was a very safe environment to get constructive feedback for your own individual growth.”
In today’s video, you’ll learn from Deepika, how Femgineer’s Confident Communicator Course helped her transform her pitches and presentations within six weeks!

You’ll learn the following:

  • Why technical leads need to work on their public speaking and presentation skills
  • Why books and videos weren’t cutting it for Deepika, and she needed a LIVE course
  • How Deepika transformed her one-dimensional pitches and structured content
  • How she benefited from having peers in the course
  • Why Deepika thinks the Confident Communicator Couse provides a safe environment, and honest-constructive feedback
