Two weeks ago I was making a decision to invest $2500 into a new course called Mastering Product Launches. For some people this might not seem like much, but to me, it’s a lot of money, because I’m bootstrapping my business.

OK I know what you’re thinking, “Why are YOU taking a course on Mastering Product Launches?”

I’m NOT a Know-it-All

While it’s true that I’ve launched a number of successful software products, I’ve never launched a book, and I’m getting ready to this falI. I didn’t want to be so pompous as to presume that I am some expert when it comes to launching that I have nothing new to learn, that kind of thinking is usually what leads to people’s failures! I wanted to learn if there are subtle nuances to launching a book that are different from software.

But I also thought, well why invest in such a high-end product when I can just  learn this all on my own by reading books, talking to people, and watching videos. The reality is that I’ve got less than 6 month left until the launch, and I need to focus on writing the book! I cannot be piecing together information, running a company, and writing a book all at the same time. I need an organized source of information from an expert!

I had previously taken Nathan Barry’s ConvertKit Academy course for $300, and using his methods I have aleady managed to get 250 people to subscribe to hear when my book will be out. That’s $1.20 per lead, and mind you, I know I’ve gotten a pretty high quality of people who are engaged with me because I’ve been chatting with them for the past month.

Having experienced results from the first course, I figured this new course would be of even higher value. I’d be getting a lot of materials plus one-on-one time with Nathan to comb over my launch plan.

But I was still on the fence.

I had some other expenses coming up (it’s tax time) and I thought to myself, well I’ll just take it another time.

Then I realized that Nathan wasn’t going to be offering the course again for awhile, he had mentioned that it might come out in the fall, but that’s when I was planning to launch my book!

What if…

It’s not like missing his course would somehow lead to my launch failing or being an epic disaster, but what if the course could help make the launch a success? Nathan had after all experienced a lot of success launching a handful of books, so I knew there were a lot of things he could teach me.

I was committed to writing my book and having it be high quality. After all that hard work, I didn’t want to follow up with some half-baked launch.

I ended up purchasing the course, because I wanted to to learn from Nathan, and increase my odds of having a successful launch. That alone was worth the investment.

Just like me, I figure you might be on the fence regarding my Lean Product Development Course. You want to bring your idea to life, but it seems like a pretty big investment to you at this time.

Ultimately, it’s your choice.

However, if you are indeed committed to your idea, open to learning, and want to succeed then myself and my team of amazing instructors can indeed help you.

Learn more about the course here. Applications are due this Friday April 18th!
