As a result, many companies both large and small have developed a work-first culture that operates 24/7.

But what if we want more from life than just work?

I’m not talking about work and life balance.

Taking a pause that is longer than a weekend or a month vacation and isn’t tied to work taking a sabbatical from work to write a book, travel, start a company, or go back to school.

I mean pausing just for a life goal, like pausing for parenthood.
