For years I used to think that some people were blessed with the extroversion gene, and that they used this special gene to attract others in social settings.

I also thought this was the key to advancing into leadership and executive roles.

So when I met Karen Catlin, who was formerly a Vice President at Adobe Systems, I thought, “Surely this woman is social butterfly!”

Boy, had I misjudged Karen…

Despite being in an executive leadership role at a Fortune 500 company, Karen openly admitted to me that she didn’t enjoy public speaking, wasn’t very good at it, and suffered from nervousness and stage fright, which caused her to avoid doing it.

In today’s video lesson you’ll learn what caused her to change her mind and embrace public speaking. Not only that, you’ll also learn the go-to method that saved her from suffering from stage fright moments before her TEDx talk!

After you’ve watched this video, share one thing that is holding you back from speaking with Karen and me in the comments below.

Looking forward to continuing the conversation there!
