This isn’t a lecture. Bring one real thing you need to get across — a project, a decision, a piece of your work — and we’ll dig into it together, live, with feedback in the moment.
You’ll leave with a clearer sense of the expertise you’ve been discounting, and a way to share it that lands — even with a mixed room of engineers, execs, and customers. Something you can use in your next real conversation, not just notes.
The deal
This workshop is free — there’s no ticket to buy. In return, I’m asking each participant to join me for a short 15-minute feedback conversation the following week (September 21–23), so I can hear what worked and what I’d sharpen.
Here’s how it works: as soon as you register, you’ll get a confirmation email with a link to book your 15-minute session at a time that works for you, September 21–23. That’s the only commitment.
I’ve taught the Confident Communicator Course four times, so the material is proven — this workshop is drawn from it, and the session is where I fine-tune that material before the fall cohort opens. That’s what your candid feedback helps me do.
And it goes both ways: those 15 minutes are a low-pressure way for you to see whether my coaching style is a fit — before you ever think about the course.
If you’re not up for the 15-minute conversation, this particular session isn’t the right fit — and that’s okay.

Who’s teaching
Poornima Vijayashanker is the founding engineer of Mint.com, a former engineering program leader at Apple, and co-author of Present! A Techie’s Guide to Public Speaking. She has taught technical communication at more than 80 companies, including Apple, Adobe, Meta, Intel, Atlassian, and Pinterest.
This workshop draws on the method she uses to help technical professionals surface and communicate the expertise they’ve already built.

Yes. The only ask is a 15-minute feedback conversation the following week (September 21–23).
No — and that’s on purpose. The point is to be there live: to dig into what’s been holding you back from uncovering your expertise, and to get feedback in the moment. A recording can’t do that, so come ready to participate.
It’s capped at 20 people so the session stays participatory, with time for live exercises and feedback.
It’s a live taste of it. The fall cohort starts October 9, and registration closes September 25 — the week after this workshop — so you’ll have everything you need to decide.
